(Services for Individuals)

Although most of my work is with corporations and small businesses, I offer all the same services to individuals:
  • People who want to be more marketable
  • Sole proprietors and one-person practices
  • Others who want to improve their skills or work through specific procedures

► People who want to be more marketable

Whether you're an executive making a lateral or upward move to a new industry, or you're an experienced administrator wanting to outshine your competition for job placement, you will likely be required to know Microsoft Office. The more comfortable and strong you are with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, the more attractive you'll be to potential employers: you'll need less training, you'll be of greater service to coworkers and the company as a whole, and you'll produce professional work with efficiency.

If you're entering the world of business for the first time, you might think you know Microsoft Office because you used it in school. If your new job has you using just the very basics of the programs, you'll probably do fine. But if you show up with superior knowledge or even certifications in Microsoft Office, you'll do better.

Microsoft Office is the #4 required job skill requested in employment listings, topping Troubleshooting, Creativity, and Project Management.

► Sole proprietors and one-person practices

When you're the only person in your company, you do everything. (I understand this. I'm an independent consultant.) Your attention can be pulled in several directions simultaneously. Without support staff, you're the one who sends email messages and other correspondence, tracks sales, produces presentations and documents, generates invoices, and so much more. You might do all of these using Microsoft Office. How effective are you?

I can help you by first learning what you do and watching how you work, and then offering targeted training, or creating templates that have your sections, styles, branding, formulas, and Quick Parts ready to go. If you really want to get the most from Microsoft Office, we will automate some of your processes. This lets you spend less time and effort doing mundane tasks, so you can focus on what's important for you to accomplish for your business and your clients.

► Others who want to improve their skills or work through specific procedures

Every opportunity to train, support, work on a special project, or create a customized solution for a client is unique experience. I look forward to discovering what you would like to learn or have done for you.
